We’re delighted to report that The Peter Saywell Track Day at Goodwood held on Saturday was a great success.
The Douglas Bader Foundation CEO, David Bickers, was there and had even more excitement than anticipated when the driver of a Lotus Ellesse offered to take him for a spin. Unfortunately this turned out to be literal and a bit of vehicular ballet later DB stepped somewhat thankfully back onto terra firma dizzy but undamaged.
You’ll be able to read more about this in his own words when we publish his report very shortly.
One of the DBF’s Trustees, photographer and cameraman Robert Pascall, was also there taking photographs of the event and we will be publishing several of these so keep watching this space!
In the meantime you can click HERE to see a short film of the Track Day courtesy of David Bickers and, given the steadiness of the hand, clearly filmed before his “unplanned triple spin”!!

The Douglas Bader Foundation is extremely grateful to Peter and Margaret Saywell for giving us such a wonderful opportunity to raise funds for our BADER BRAVES Flying Days Programme. Goodwood has an historical association with Sir Douglas Bader so it was particularly poignant that this event should take place there.
