THE BADER CUP – A Hole-in-One at the Gower Club!
Under the experienced management of John Southwick, The Bader Cup, now amazingly in its 25th year, annually raises thousands of pounds for the Douglas Bader Foundation.
The qualifying rounds are currently being played and we’ve just heard that one of the members of The Gower Club, Mr. Graham Tuckett, played a Hole-in-One during the qualifying round held there on Monday 7th May.
Many congratulations to Mr. Tuckett on this achievement and also to the winners, John and Vanessa Davies, who will now go on to represent The Gower Golf Club in the Regional Finals.
We’re delighted to hear hear that it was a very successful day with 10 pairs taking part in the competition.
The Douglas Bader Foundation is extremely grateful to The Gower Golf Club, Swansea, for again hosting a qualifying competition and to all the players who took part thereby supporting the charity. Without you all the tournament simply wouldn’t happen. The DBF relies almost entirely on fund-raising and the considerable monies raised annually by The Bader Cup make a substantial contribution to the Foundation’s ability to carry on its valuable work on behalf of amputees and other disabled.
