Inaugural Amputee Primary and Junior Games!

“LimbPower Launches Junior Games at Stoke Mandeville Stadium

15th/16th September 2012″

Following the success of The Amputee Games, now well-established and an important and respected date in the amputee community calendar, LimbPower is launching the Primary and Junior Games.

This will take place on the 15th/16th September and Stoke Mandeville Stadium, birthplace of the Paralympics.

Here, young amputees and the young ambulant disabled will be able to try a range of sporting activities in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment.

  • On Saturday 15th September, those aged  between 6-11 will be able to try out a variety of sports encouraged by experienced mentors and instructors. The emphasis will be on fun and will provide the perfect opportunity for the children to have a go at a new sport and to socialise with their peers.
  • Sunday 16th September will be for older children from 11-18. They will be able to try key Paralympic sports under the watchful and encouraging eyes of qualified coaches and experienced athletes.

On both days a wide range of sports will be on offer and, who knows, Paralympians of the future may be discovered!

You’re special to us you know! So we thought you’d like a more personal service for more specific advice or maybe to make a 1-2-1 contact with another amputee.
