Demand for the “Who Was Douglas Bader Day” at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum on Saturday 11th August has been overwhelming and is now completely oversubscribed.
Director of Operations for DBF, Keith Delderfield, said “ to be honest I have been taken aback by the interest shown by so many youngsters. The idea of having an “information day” was the concept of our friends at the museum and together we hatched a plan for such an event last year. It is good to know that the Bader story still arouses such interest and continues to be such an inspiration to the disabled community throughout the UK”.
Negotiations are taking place in an attempt to arrange a second event later in the year to accommodate all those disappointed this time round – WATCH THIS SPACE FOR FURTHER INFO!!
