BADER BRAVES! – Flying Day Report from Pembrey

The BADER BRAVES had a wonderful day at Pembrey Airport on Saturday July 28th. Here is a report on the day by Keith Delderfield. We’d very much like to hear your own reports or stories and, as always, to receive any photographs you or your families or carers may have taken on the day to add to our Galleries.

These Young Aviators Days are very much your days, BRAVES, so we love to have your input.

Report by Keith Delderfield:

Pembrey provides great venue for first Bader Braves visit to South Wales

28 Bader Braves, accompanied by their families were guests at Pembrey Airport in Carmarthenshire at the end of July, our first such event in South Wales. The facilities offered along with the various attractions and super picnic lunch provided the perfect setting. The enthusiasm and generosity of the pilots, all of whom had flown into Pembrey from as far away as Bodmin in Cornwall, Haverfordwest or Cardiff ensured that everyone had a truly memorable day and some wonderful flying conditions and excellent visibility over Carmarthen Bay and the lovely surrounding countryside were the icing on the cake.

Unfortunately as yet we have no photographs from this event which is a great shame as it is a great location; so if any of our Braves from Pembrey are reading this and you took some photographs that you are willing to share with us all, please send them to me at douglasbaderfdn@btinternet.com

Plans are in the pipeline for a return visit to South Wales in 2013.
